Oh 2010, it’s been an interesting one. Just when I felt like we were getting along, you left. Oh wells! 2011, can you top this?
In 2010, I:
- Got rejected for a lot of jobs early on
- Moved to DC to better my job prospects
- Convinced my boyfriend to buy Lady Gaga’s CDs
- Got a job
- Lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly
- Moved back to Texas
- Joined a gym
- Traveled a lot and caught up with old friends
- Taught my nephew how to say “Awesome!” and give high-fives
- Met Ice Cube in an elevator
- Attended a taping of Maury
- Got a PS3
- Tried Marmite
- Threw up at the mention of Marmite the next morning
- Spent the holidays enjoying time with those that matter most
It’d be naive of me to say 2010 was a good year; after all, the most tragic event of my life occurred one Saturday in April when I least expected it. Still, not sure I’d trade in 2010. Thanks for making it a decent and livable year, everyone. Here’s to the next!
